ICMUB’s research activities focus on 2 cross-disciplinary research areas, with metal chemistry, coordination chemistry and organometallic chemistry as the common thread. The unit has therefore chosen to structure its research into two departments, one dedicated to the environment, materials and energy (SEM), the other to health and medical imaging (ISI).
These two departments, composed two teams (CaPCoM and EMCAP) and 3 teams (SMol, RITM and IFTIM), respectively, are interconnected through shared themes, in total coherence with the unit’s trajectory.
These 2 research departments are assisted by major research support services (administration, transfer of technology, IT service, technical platforms, etc.).
Health, Engineering
and Imaging
The ISI department’s research focuses on the development of innovative tools for healthcare, molecular imaging and (radio)therapy, with the aim of linking upstream research activities with clinical and healthcare issues.
