Equality, non-discriminatory treatment and prevention of violence

Mission : The ‘’Equality, non-discriminatory treatment and prevention of violence‘’ referent assists and advises the DU in his role as guarantor of equality, non-discriminatory treatment and the prevention of violence, particularly sexist and sexual violence, within the Unit.

Its main missions are:

  • to respond to any alerts regarding problematic situations, particularly those involving harassment or gender-based discrimination, and to provide support and referral to the appropriate stakeholders (CNRS, university, etc…)
  • to propose information and awareness-raising activities within the laboratory
  • to disseminate information and actions carried out by the CNRS and the University regarding parity, equality, and the defense of diversity
  • to ensure communication without gender stereotypes in the materials distributed by the unit
  • to follow the laboratory’s parity statistics.

The generic email address signalement@cnrs.fr is available to any employee

who considers themselves a victim or witness of

  • an act of violence
  • an act of discrimination
  • acts of moral or sexual harassment
  • or sexist behavior.

The CNRS also provides a listening and support unit for its employees and for employees who consider themselves a victim or witness to the actions of a CNRS employee. The France-Victimes association, which provides this support, can be contacted anonymously and free of charge by email (cnrs@france-victimes.fr) or by phone at 01 80 52 33 77, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., 7 days a week. The Université Bourgogne Europe

The Université Bourgogne Europe is committed to combating moral and sexual harassment, as well as all forms of gender-based violence (GBV) that can affect staff and students. A simple system for reporting any inappropriate behavior has been established: stop.harcelement.vss@ube.fr Psychological and/or medical support, accompanied by an official report (with the individual’s consent), may be provided, which may trigger disciplinary proceedings and/or a referral to the public prosecutor.
